Rapid Visual AI

AI Data Policy

Effective Date: March 20, 2024

Rapid Visual is committed to protecting your data when using AI-powered features. This policy explains how we work with third-party AI providers and ensure your data is never used for model training or retained unnecessarily.

1. Purpose
Rapid Visual uses external AI APIs to support content generation and productivity features. We only use providers that allow us to prevent data retention and training. We configure all endpoints and services to ensure compliance with strict data protection standards.

2. AI Providers and Data Handling
OpenAI (API Platform)
We use OpenAI’s official API platform, not ChatGPT or other consumer-facing services. According to OpenAI’s API Data Usage Policy:

“OpenAI does not use data submitted by customers via our API to train OpenAI models or improve OpenAI’s service offering.”We rely on this commitment and configure all API traffic to avoid data retention.

Replicate
We use Replicate’s API to run open-source AI models. According to Replicate’s Privacy Policy:

"Submitted data is not stored or used for training. We only use models that do not retain input data and are configured for ephemeral use."

Mistral (API)
We use the official Mistral API, not a self-hosted or third-party deployment. According to Mistral’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy:

"Mistral does not use submitted data for training or fine-tuning. All requests are stateless and processed without retention."

Hugging Face (Inference API)
We use Hugging Face’s Inference API to run open-source models. We explicitly disable all logging and telemetry options. No user data is stored or reused. Hugging Face Inference API Documentation.

3. General Safeguards
Across all providers:
  • We disable all available logging or retention settings
  • We review third-party terms and data policies regularly
  • We only send prompt data or input required to perform the requested task
  • We do not allow model training, fine-tuning, or post-use data access

4. Generated Content
All content generated through AI features (text, images, or media) is fully owned by the user. We do not inspect, analyze, or reuse generated content beyond its use in your account.

5. Scope of Shared Data
We only send data necessary for the AI functionality you initiate (e.g. prompt text, image instruction). We never send:
  • Login credentials or session tokens
  • Payment or billing data
  • Personally identifiable data unless explicitly included in the user prompt

6. Output Storage and Hosting Location
All AI-generated output (text, images, or media) is stored securely on our servers to support application workflows. Our servers are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, a GDPR-compliant hosting provider.

All data is stored exclusively in Germany. Hetzner maintains strict physical and technical security controls. Hetzner Privacy Policy: Only authorized users and internal systems can access stored content.

7. Data Transfers and Legal Safeguards
Rapid Visual uses external AI providers to perform task-specific generation. Some of these providers process data outside the European Union. We apply the following safeguards to ensure GDPR compliance and data security:

  • OpenAI and Replicate: These providers process data on infrastructure located in the United States. We rely on their use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure adequate protection under GDPR.
  • Mistral: We use the official EU endpoint to ensure all data remains within the European Union.
  • Hugging Face: We use EU-based storage and inference regions to keep all data processing within the EU.

    In all cases:
  • We send only task-specific, non-personal data.
  • We never send user names, emails, payment information, or other identifying data.
  • Each provider receives only a limited portion of the total processing context.
  • Outputs are securely stored on our servers, located exclusively in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH).
